In April, Thames View Infants had the first 'ever' Easter Bonnet Parade. All the children and the staff made lovely hats and paraded with them to the local shops, past the Medical Centre and the Sue Bramley Children's Centre. The parade ended in the school hall, where the children entertained the parents with some singing and dancing.  Our School Council handed out refreshments and Hot Cross Buns!

The Easter Bonnet Parade was even mentioned in the local press.

The children wait patiently in their classrooms, wearing their bonnets.  Don't they look smart in their school uniform?

The children pass the refreshments laid out for the parents.

As the children leave the school they are cheered by their parents and the local community.

Mr Hunt, our caretaker, halts traffic as Mr Jordan leads joins the parade.  Can you see the traffic jam?

Mrs Waters leads Owl class past the shops.   The children are enjoying their walk.  They walked very sensibly.

People from the shops came out to wave.

Ms Polius joined in the parade, can you see her hiding in the picture?

Everyone was smiling.  Can you see your friends in this picture?

All the classes walked past the Sue Bramley Centre.

Everyone was really careful when they crossed the roads.

Look at the different hats in this picture!

Lots of Mums and Dads and people from home came to watch and wave!   We all lined up in the playground to see each other.  There was lots of clapping.

Mr Jordan looked at everybody's bonnets and thanked us for making such a good effort.

Do you like our bonnets?   This picture was taken before the new trees were planted.  These children look very happy!

Even the Nursery joined in with their Mums and Dads.

All the grown-up were invited back to the hall.  We sang some songs and then we all joined in with some dancing.

Who can you see in this picture?

Afterwards, the School Council gave out refreshments!  It was a really fun day.
